We have been in business since 1977, and we can honestly say that Rodney Hicks of Hicks & Associates, LLC has been our best Manufacturer's Representative. Rodney has been instrumental in the success of our company by bringing us quality cabinet manufacturers, product knowledge, and trends in our industry. Rodney always conducts himself with professionalism, and follows through anytime issues may arise. We have been associated with Rodney since 2006, and are happy to recognize him in his profession, and as our friend.
Rodney is a hands on manager that is relentless at getting the job done. He maintains an entrepreneurial spirit and attitude. Rodney also created lasting relationships that were critical to his success.
I have known Rodney of Hicks & Assoc, LLC. for 16 years, as he has been my manufacturer representative for all that time. He has an incredible ability to sell product(s) and has profound knowledge of the products he represents. He works well with and is very supportive of my sales staff. He responds to issues that develop from time to time with the products in a very timely, professional manner. The companies he represents, have a high regard for him and respond to him well. He is a man of his word and tells you the truth even if it is not what you want to hear. He handles customers well and is very good at conflict resolution. He is one of the best reps I have worked with and I have found him to be very dependable.
It has been my pleasure to work with Rodney for 6+ years in several leadership positions. Rodney's energy and passion for retail excellence set an example for all that he came in contact with. He has a unique ability to identify and solve problems in a manner that benefits the customer and company. Rodney is often at his best when he has the opportunity to teach and mentor. He connects with associates at all levels and is able to gain clear understanding of objectives. Rodney can work with CEO's to the part time associate on the sales floor. I would welcome the opportunity to work with Rodney in the future!
The most important factor in the success of Home Depot was the customer service executed by entire organization. It was an important asset for Home Depots Merchants to be more than just buyers. They needed to drive sales, train, set stores, manage data, and much more. Rodney had the talent to be a great merchant, and so he was part of this extraordinary group of people at the Home Depot. I interacted with Rodney during his career with Home Depot, both during his managing Building Materials and as New Store Merchant. As it relates to his merchant role for Lumber and Building Materials –he had a great grasp of the product knowledge; financials required to be successful and drove sales of the important commodities at the store level. Rodney was always inclusive inside the organization, and worked with many departments, to make the company and associates succeed in their missions. His expertise, common sense, drive and passion put him into many special projects Home Depot needed to complete. He was always a success in working with people, projects and customers.
